Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian recently announced his planned actions to fight racism.
Alexis Ohanian, a millionaire tech entreprenuer and co-founder of online social platform Reddit, recently publicized plans for his personal fight against racism.
These include his desire to see a member of the black community replace him at his current board position.
"I've resigned as a member of the reddit board, I have urged them to fill my seat with a black candidate," Ohanian said in a June 5 tweet.
"I will use future gains on my Reddit stock to serve the black community, chiefly to curb racial hate," Ohanian said.
One of the main hubs for crypto discussion, Ohanian's Reddit is home to a number of forums for discussion on various crypto projects.
Forums r/cryptocurrency and r/bitcoin, among many others, yield active crypto-related conversation, with r/bitcoin achieving the 1 million subscriber count in late 2018.
One of his funds put $5 million toward a blockchain game project.
The Reddit co-founder even made Bitcoin and Ethereum price predictions in July 2018, calling for Bitcoin and Ethereum to return to their all-time price high ranges.
Last month he also noted significant development in the industry.
